Hello folks, how is everyone? We're melting here in Europe. I don't remember ever having had such a hot summer. Maybe it really is the hottest; or maybe my long memory refuses to keep such data. But to the contrary of the weather, my life is real fast at the moment, as if someone pressed "fast forward". Honestly, it's really stressful, and I don't see it ending before September, and who knows for how long. We'll see. Keep your fingers crossed, and in the meantime, I'll share more. For now, here are some links you might enjoy.

Oh, would you look at that—I showed up here again. Well. With it being too hot to breathe and eat (and I thought that wasn't possible), can you blame me? I hope you're navigating the summer in the best way imaginable. However, in less than a month, I'll be in the south hemisphere for the first time ever, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining much. Anyway, here are some links for you. Enjoy!

Hello there! What's on your agenda this weekend? I'm feeling overwhelmed with the heat so I spend a good chunk of the day watching TLC. Guilty pleasures, eh? I hope to see some humans tomorrow, that'd be nice. In the meantime, it's just ice cream and chill. And here are some links from around the web if you have some spare time.

I didn’t plan to blog from Azerbaijan because I’d made such plans in the past, and they did not turn out very well. So I gave myself some time off. But when I came back home, I didn’t want to blog right away either. Not so travel-bloggish of me, is it? The thing is, with some of my experiences I was not that impressed and I didn’t want to write with that in my mind, but to let it cool.
So it did. I now look back at my time there fondly—more than I did right after coming back. It was ten days of being completely out of this world, and honestly, I really needed it.
For ten days I didn’t think about the bills I needed to pay or job I didn’t have or anything like that. I think I was living in the present, being present.

Hello there! I've been quiet for some time here, and honestly, I would just rather sit and stare at another meaningless website than focus on writing. It's just so hot. (And the cheese pie in the oven doesn't help. Why on Earth do I bake a pie on a hot day? God knows.) I am super slow and my sleeping routine is a mess and I'm not sure how to fix it. (Ideas, anyone??) Anyway, here's an attempt to be normal on a Friday. Weekend Reads, y'all. Enjoy!

(Which shouldn’t come as a surprise since you’re reading what I imagine to be a travel blog.)
Yet so it happened that I’m mainly traveling abroad. It’s more available than ever, and the world is so big and beautiful and waiting for me to discover it and see in person everything I’ve been longing for since… well, forever.
It’s easy to end up seduced by the very world and forget about what’s in my backyard.
Well, not literally. (Though there is a cherry tree and I should pick some while they’re still good.)
I’m talking about Serbia, my home country.

Hi everyone! I just gathered last atoms of strength to publish this—I just want and need to lie down, I am super tired, had a tiring session at the gym and then ate my weight in chicken and I am half-dead now. So kudos to myself for being responsible-ish enough to publish this before Saturday evening, when I'll probably wake up now that I pass out. :) Also: it's Eurosong finale tonight! Are you watching? Serbia didn't qualify, but nevertheless I expect good fun. And I am cheering for Moldova, though people around me say they are ridiculous. Well, I like them. Are you a Eurovision fan as well or have no idea what this glitter event the whole Europe loves is about?
Anyway, here are some links I found on the WWW this week. Enjoy!

Hello there! How are you, what are you up to this weekend? I'll be going away for a small trip in the mountains that I'm really looking forward to, so feel free to follow me on Instagram to stay updated, and soon enough I'll post about it and might give you an idea for where to spend a vacation 😉 But for now, here are my weekly favorites. (Also, anyone else watching leaked Season 5 of Orange Is The New Black?! 🙈I love that show. It's just so, so good.)

I was decluttering my laptop the other day, which is something I'll probably keep doing as long as I live, and I found a short piece I wrote in 20 minutes last year just a couple of days after having left Berlin. This was actually a part of the test for a certain job: they wanted to check my written English and I was supposed to write anything at all ASAP. So I let my heart speak.
I didn't get the job eventually; if I recall correctly, I was told the piece is good but then they never bothered to contact me again. I read it now, after more than a year, and decided to publish it. Here's a different love story.
