I always hated how some bloggers sound pretentious starting their blog posts with “everybody asked me to write about (some random topic), so finally here it is”. That’s why I was super hesitant to start in the same manner; but I can list at least several people who did ask me to post a detailed Berlin guide they could pass on to their friends traveling to the city. So okay, it wasn’t “everybody”, but it still made me feel so humble at times. And so—here it is. (Self-cringe!)

Hello lovely people! I am still going through the interesting-reads-slump, but I'm getting back there. On the road to there, at least! On the other hand, I did create instead, and my post on what you should do if you're a first-time visitor to London is something I'm really proud of, so check it out if you haven't. Oh, and it's really beginning to feel like spring, which is weird. September is meant to be fall. And have a great weekend!

I'm taking advantage of the time difference and writing this post on a Saturday afternoon, knowing that the majority of my audience is in Europe and America. 🙈 My overall feeling about Weekend Reads, that I mentioned last week, is still present, but it may be due to my taste becoming more refined? Who knows. Have a great weekend! (Or what's left of it, in case you live closer to me.)

Baku is… different. Now this is not much of a statement if you don’t have my exact background, and judging by the fact you’re not me—you probably don’t. So, different to what, anyway? I don’t dare say “Europe” because Europe is just so diverse, but I’m thinking along those lines. Baku is just different.

Hello people! The negative trend in regards to my #WeekendReads continues. I usually try to include at least ten links, which I failed miserably last week, and I am failing again. If you read some interesting content on a regular basis, please let me know! I don't feel I consume less online content than usually, but it's less interesting, less enticing, less share-worthy... I don't know. Maybe it's me. Anyway, here's a couple of links. Have a great weekend!

Airports are my happy place. Sometimes. More often than not, however, airports are just places where there's a lot of waiting and a lot of queues. They're shiny and crowded, filled with stores and eateries with sky-rocketed prices. However, if you have to get from A to B by plane, they cannot be avoided; even less if you have a layover. Here are my few tips and tricks that will make your flying endeavors easier, and let you glide through airports seamlessly!

I skipped last week's Weekend Reads because I only had a few links to share with you. My taste online is either more refined than it was in the northern hemisphere 😄 or there have seriously been less good reads recently. It appears I have not bookmarked a single web location in the past seven days?! I don't remember it ever having happened before. Anyway, greetings from down under, and if you'd like, follow me on Instagram, where I'm obviously more active. (The top photo is mine, btw. This is where I live now, not far from many awesome beaches. Still have to pinch myself on a regular basis.) Have a great weekend! Oh, and happy September. Trivia: it's the first day of spring in New Zealand. :)

Five years ago I was copy editing the Serbian edition of the book Un Amico Italiano: Eat, Pray, Love in Rome, and I remember telling myself I would love to use it as a tour guide once I travel to Rome. Of course, a novel is hardly a good guide, no matter how well written. A while after, when I actually did find myself in Rome, I had to go through that novel again and write down the points it had recommended. Maybe I even missed something.
